Photograms or Rayographs are a type of cameraless photography in witch you put a variety of objects on light sensitive paper once exposed to light you develop the image in a dark room; this process causes the negative space to go black and the space under the objects a lighter colour depending on the opaqueness of the object. The process was first invented by William henry Fox Talbot in the 1900's but were rediscovered by Man ray in the 1920's. William Talbot was a photography pioneer who helped develop the photography of the time. In his work he would use plants and other natural things as the subject some examples of his work are to the right. >>

we attempted making our own photograms in class first we made our initials then we were given a letter and made a class alphabet.
I enjoyed making photograms as it was really exciting to see the image appear when i was developing them, also the process is very
creative yet fast, I really liked how my photograms turned out however if i wear to do it again i would expose the paper for slightly
longer to get a higher contrast between the light and dark as my first two were not as contrasted as I would have liked. I would also go more
adventurous with my letters as the first two are very plain. My favorite was my third image as it looks very contrasted and worked really well.
